It was just past noon on a Sunday but breakfast was certainly on my mind. Knowing that many spots in the area stop serving breakfast at 11, we decided to hit up Nana’s where breakfast is served all day long and 7 days a week. The place has a traditional diner feel to it so we opted to sit at the counter. In an attempt to go a bit on the healthy side I ordered an egg white omelette with turkey sausage, green peppers and tomato. It was excellent! My date went for a traditional breakfast and ordered pancakes, beacon and sausage. She claimed the pancakes we some of the best she had ever had. After chatting with a gentleman sitting next to us we learned that the apple pie was was some of the best around and had even won some awards at the World’s Fair in 1964. We tried it and it was absolutely amazing!
